Today is a great day in OpenIV‘s history.Today we are release OpenIV with support of two different game – Grand Theft Auto IV and Max Payne 3. We just start work with Max Payne 3, but now OpenIV 1.0 is the only tool outside of Rockstar studios which is not just to open game archive, but and allow you to view texture resources and collision bounds objects.
Besides Max Payne 3 support in OpenIV 1.0 we have made a lot of work to improve our openFormats for GTA IV. Also we are fixes many bugs and errors.

I’m not able to go on “edit mode” neither. I click on it, but can’t edit/change anything in the rpf files. Nor can open .wft files, but I guess it is the next step in the roadmap.

I think openiv v1.0 is fail. Everytime I import obn (collision) format always error. more better before the update (0.9.4). immediately fix it. I have a lot of work to make map mod. thank you.

@metalwars which errors do you have? Try to re-export obn with GIMS.

I have tried many times with other ways, finally succeeded. but the collision to be broken.

Many map mod that I made and uploaded. but when open iv updated , I failed to import obn.

You can’t move/rotate/scale dev_col/filename/*composite dummies in the hierarchy.
The solution’s to delete them and re-create the hierarchy through Manager.

@3Doomer: I’m very quickly to make map mod without gims hierarchy manager. I usually manually create a dummy from create>helpers>dummy and rename it. previously always successful.

I can’t run 3D Ripper DX on OpenIV 1.5 I get a grey screen that wont display any models. Anything you can to do fix this or help me work this out?
