Four years ago, December 28, 2008, I have release first public version of OpenIV – OpenIV 0.8 (build 157). At the time of release, OpenIV was first application that provide full ability to edit RPF and IMG archives of GTA IV. In addition, it have features to replace images in WTD texture files. Many things have changes in this four-year, and today we proud to release next major version – OpenIV 1.3
OpenIV 1.3 bring two long awaiting features. First, now it possible to view WDR and WDD models from Max Payne 3. You have all same features in viewer like for GTA IV. Second, at last, openFormats for GTA IV now supports WFT “fragments” modes, this is mean soon you will have ability to import vehicles models into 3Ds Max. Also it will be possible to make “destroyable” map objects, like you can see in video above.
OpenIV is unique project which allow you to work with two games –Grand Theft Auto IV and Max Payne 3. And today we proud to give to you new features for each of this games. First, at last you able to full edit Max Payne 3 RPF archives and start modding for this great game. Second, for Grand Theft Auto IV we are add a new long-expected openFormats for Nav mesh files (.wnv) which allow you to create PEDs paths on your own maps soon.Of course this is not all changes, full list is available here: https://openiv.com/bugs/changelog_page.php
