Today we are proud to release OpenIV 2.1. This is the first version with Continuous Navigation – a new way to interact with archives. Continuous Navigation gives you ability to navigate through archives continuously just like regular folders. This new experience allows you to navigate faster through archives and inner archives that presented in large quantities in GTA V.
As for Grand Theft Auto V support, we have added two big features. Now you are able to view XFT Models and finally you have all features to edit and create RPF7 archives for GTA V.

Using this new version, when I edit and rebuild an archive (DLC.rpf from EFLC PS3) I am greeted with a black loading screen and the game crashes.
Please stop forcing your users to update, this isn’t the first time this has happened.

After further testing, the black screen loading loop/crash only happens if I rebuild the DLC.rpf archive. If I make changes and do not rebuild it, it works fine.

haydir PS3 models (CDR/CFT) are much more complicated than XBOX/PC so they can’t be implemented so easily. We are working on PS3 models but I can’t say any estimates.

I know that EFLC on consoles is not officially supported GooD-NTS, but rebuilding the DLC.rpf has worked fine in the past. The most recent update broke that unofficial support. That was what I was trying to report.
And because OpenIV forces the users to update, I cannot keep an older (working) version on my computer to use.

Creighton , yes, new OpenIV more have more platform specific algorithms. So, you can’t edit consoles archives with PC configuration. But, still it can work with it, but it is required some changes in OpenIV configuration files.

I need some help, I have the ISO files..

I extracted them to my desktop with XBOX360 ISO Extract and I have the encryption_key.bin but OpenIV keeps restarting everytime I press xbox 360
It says “Successfully: OpenIV can work with this folder”
But it doesn’t work 🙁

Okay thank you 😀 I thought it had something to do with the key. I have one more problem and you seem fast with the replies so it would be great if I find a solution soon. Its about GTA IV, with SparkIV I can easily edit model files (.wdr), but the texture size is locked so even if I use a higher quality texture it will stretch it to the original texture size. I’ve been trying to figure out how to edit model files with OpenIV but, no luck. All I can do is view the file, I can’t open the .wdr file and replace textures. I did watch a video on Youtube but the options in the video wasn’t in the latest OpenIV, exporting to .odr doesn’t extract the texture files (.png)

well this is crap, you are forcing everyone to use that crap sparkiv for gtaiv since you cant use this program without corrupting your vehicles files and getting zlib20 errors.

That’s the video I watched, I understand it now. I created a new .IMG, exported the models to .odr format to get and replace the dds images, then all I had to do was use my own .IMG to rebuild the .WDR file

i simply put a vehicle in using openiv and when i try to load the game it zlib20, go to a different vehicles img use spark and no issue, its all over the forums since the update on the 7th nothing but issues. need to roll back the update until its actually fixed

Я уже 1000 раз повторял что не могу воспроизвести у себя проблему с падением игры, и никто не может сказать мне точные шаги для воспроизведения. Также никто не присылает мне испорченный vehicles.img. Я не могу исправить проблему которая у меня не воспроизводится.

Наверно потому что vehicles.img у многих весит по 5 гигов.
Вот модели wft и wtd которые вызывают проблемы после обновления, хотя до этого замечательно работали, посмотрите модели sabre 2 и peyote

Hi when i installed the last version of OpenIV (2.1.0)when i select the default GTA IV and i want to play some animations the only skins available are an old woman or niko. If i try to select ANY skin other than Niko it gives me that old lady skin.

Thanks for releasing the free tool for gta iv and v. It’s really nice.
But after 2.1 update, open iv is keeping corrupting my vehicles wft and wtd files. But I have no problem with spark iv.And I didn’t have this issue before 2.1 update. Any time I saw this error I sent it to open iv server. I hope you do something for that, because it’s really annoying.
Also, please do not force people to update the app, I myself prefer the previous one without gta v support but don’t have any problem with gta iv too.

I really can’t send vehicles.img because of it’s size, not proper for my network speed. But this problem happens for me sometime when I modify a wtd file , or import a wft file to my vehicles.img. For fixing this problem I have to import the file more and more to fix the problem. It happes for wtd much more than modified wft files. I had no problem with original wft and wtd files. But it occurs much for modified wtd or wft files. ( Much more with wtd )

I am alos having the same prolem with open IV crashing, anytime I try to edit a WTd file add or replace textures and the go to view the WFT file, crashes. Is there anyway to roll back to a older stable version? really appreciate what you guys have made but please fix the problems.

My vehicles.img is 230 mb, I don’t have many vehicle mods in my vehicles.img. I think just 3 or 4. I didn’t have this problem before update bro. It seems the problem mostly occur when we modify a wtd file.

What wolfrunner said is correct. ever since you’ve been updating this it has broken the edit of vehicles. now the game takes for ever to load and then crashes with the zlib20 error because we cannot rebuild archive without corrupting it. please STOP forcing updates and let us have an old version that works.

Any file textures *.xtd of DLC GTA V Xbox360…
(I state that I do not the game on PC, only the encryption_key.bin,
-the files Liberty V key_xbox360.dat, renamed-,
and that the latest version of GTA V Console Texture Editor 1.4
opens instead of these files,
and does not require anything GTA-V on PC… :/

This is probable mean your files is already corrupted and we can’t do anything this it.
The main question is how is files getting corrupted, this is the issue now. But still it is not reproduced on my environment at all.
I can’t fix it because I still can’t reproduce it.

Automan, All textures from all DLC are works fine in OpenIV and you no need to have full game, only encryption key and update files.

I extracted the file from mpb2vehicles.rpf, with Liberty V r47.
So, I now remember, when I run the installation, the program did not find:
framedyn.dll
but I have 2 on the SO (W-XP SP3):
C:\WINDOWS\ServicePackFiles\i386
C:\WINDOWS\system32\wbem
I do not know where you want this file OpenIV 2.1,
and whether it can depend on this.
The program, however, it worked the same, apparently.

Okay, I am sure that you have a reasonable and logical explanation for what I am about to ask you, and don’t take it as a way of me questioning your methods or your coding skills, but why release an update which contains a beta feature for GTA V, designed for a program to work with GTA IV? Again, not to make assumptions, but maybe this is what lead to it being thrown off. Maybe you could make a new program, instead of throwing off a perfectly good version of OpenIV, for GTA V? Perhaps, “OpenV?” Also, has anybody from the public (obviously outside your dev/tester team) actually used the GTA V feature for this? Not to be aggressive, but why did you have to update this in the first place? It was perfectly good as it was, and none of the new features seem to be making it any better. Just my input…

GooD-NTS -> do you have any idea how long will take to implement replace function in RPF archive for PC version please ? I dont want to know exactly just might smt like how many weeks or so, need only posibility to replace texts and fonts noting else. It is very crutial for me since im leading loc project for x360 and the do convert to PC.
