Support for RDR 2 is much anticipated by community and we are working hard\nto bring it to you as soon as possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2>Red Dead Redemption 2<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Red Dead\nRedemption 2 is going to be the first game in the Red Dead series that support\nby OpenIV. However, we are also working on the support for the first Red Dead\nRedemption. Support for the first Red Dead Redemption probably coming later next\nyear since right now we are busy with the RDR 2.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2>RPF Archives<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Right now\nOpenIV is able to open new RPF8 archives from the RDR2. But, there is few\nthings you need to know:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>New RPF8 archives does not have names for their entries, only hashes;<\/li><li>It is possible to harvest file names from the game itself. Just like GTA V, RDR 2 has many META, XML and PSO files that contain names of the files and archives. We already have some archives where all the file names are known.<\/li><li>The first version will probably has a very limited database of the file names, we are hoping to grow list of the known names with every new update in the future.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2>General files support<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Currently\nwe are working on support for the most of the basic files. There is not much\nsense to release new version now when you cannot open the files you want to look\ninto. In the first release, we are hoping to support most of the data files and\nsome of the basic resources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2>Modding support<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Just like\nwith GTA V, the first version with RDR 2 support will not have any editing capabilities.\nThere is still few things need to be figured out before we can edit RDR 2\nresources and archives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2>The next version<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>At the\ncurrent moment, we do not have any ETA on the when new version of the OpenIV\nwill be released.
