Today we are proud to release OpenIV 2.3.5, first version with import support for openFormats models in Max Payne 3. Using openFormats, you will be able to edit ped and map object models. Unfortunately, not all features are available now, for example, it is not possible to use cloth, but we will continue to work along with formats from PC version of GTA V. Besides openFormats import ability we also fix some issues and add new features. Full list of changes is available here.

Greetings to all! Today we are proud to release OpenIV 2.3. In last few months we have developed a new system that allows us to work with RAGE Resources in more easy and elegant way. It also helps to describe and research resources faster, so we will be able to bring support for new resources earlier. This is means new features will come quickly, and I personally hope, it will increase OpenIV stability in general.

For start, we using a new system for Max Payne 3 and Grand Theft Auto V resources, in next few releases we will bring it to Grand Theft Auto IV as well. Unfortunately, you probably will not notice any changes in OpenIV functionality, so we have one noticeable feature to release today.

Let me introduce – openFormats for Max Payne 3 Drawable models.

Yeah, finally, we made openFormats for Max Payne 3 models, but, unfortunately, currently it is export only version. Therefore, you will not be able to import your models into Max Payne 3 yet, sorry for that. However, we will work hard to bring import as soon as possible. Another good thing is the current version of openFormats for Max Payne 3 is very similar to our future formats for Grand Theft Auto V.

In addition, we currently working on documentation for openFormats for Max Payne 3, so, you will have all information you need for editing formats or even create your own tools and scripts for it.

As always, the full change log is available here.
